Day 2 Athens

We love Athens. We hiked up the big mountain today to see the Acropolis. It is absolutely beautiful up there. We walked back down through the Agora and wandered through the vendors in the Plaka. On the way we found two Starbucks, a TGI fridays, a Subway, and of course a Mcdonalds. We stopped in none of them though and instead hit a café for greek french fries and frappes. Then a double espresso. We practically ran home with all the caffeine. If the roads in Rome were hills, these are mountains. Basically its a 90 degree angle to our hotel. So far all of the toilets have seats. All of the people are very nice. Our greek is working so well people keep talking to us back as if we understand everything. One of the funny things is where the locals think we are from. We've gotten Australian and American but the really strange one is Spain. More than anything else people have thought we are from spain and they try to talk to us in Spanish. Ryan has begun to tell people his last name is Banderas. Hasta luego!
